Separate Sealed Bids for the Construction of NRCS-EWP Stream Bank Stabilization Project will be received by the City of Lumberton herein called the “Owner” at their office located at Lumberton City Hall, 102 East Main Ave., Lumberton, Mississippi 39455 until 2:00 p.m. local time on Monday, May 13, 2024, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud for the following project:

The PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS and CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined at the following locations:
1. Lumberton City Hall, 102 East Main Avenue, Lumberton, MS 39455
2. O’Neal-Bond Engineering, Inc., 312 Mill Ave., Wiggins, MS 39577
Copies of plans, together with the contract documents and specifications, may be purchased from O’Neal- Bond Engineering, Inc., 312 Mill Ave., Wiggins, MS 39577 via their website onealbondeng.com upon the payment of $150 for each set, none of which is refundable.
A certified check or bank draft payable to the order of City of Lumberton, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, must be submitted in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid for this project. All bids submitted in excess of $50,000.00 by a prime or subcontractor to do any erection, building, construction, repair, maintenance or related work, must comply with Section 31-3-21, Mississippi Code of 1972, by having a current Certificate of Responsibility from the State Board of Public Contractors. The current Certificate of Responsibility Number shall be indicated on the exterior of the sealed bid envelope before it can be opened. Award, if made, will be made for the lowest and best bidder. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids received and to award said bid in the best interest of the City. Bids may be held for a period not to exceed sixty (60) day from the date of the opening of bids and cannot be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the Project for a period of sixty (60) days, for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the contract. Each Bidder, by submitting a bid, represents that he has visited the site and familiarized himself with local conditions under which the work is to be performed. No allowance will be made to any Bidder because of lack of examination of the proposed Plans and Specifications, this Advertisement to Bid, the site of the work, or for lack of knowledge of any conditions affecting the Work. The submission of a proposal shall be construed as conclusive evidence that the Bidder has made such examinations.
